cob.org/parks • (360) 778-7000 Adaptive 5 Adaptive Cycling Club Riding for Everyone, by the AIROW project brings us this program for children and youth to learn and experience riding bikes in a barrier-free environment. Specifically designed for riders with diverse abilities who would benefit from an adapted environment. Learn basic bike skills and overall motor skills in a supported and small- scale environment. Staff coaches will focus on creating opportunities for participation rather than competition. DAY/DATES: Mondays, May 6-June 17 (7 weeks) TIME: 4:00–6:00 pm AGES: 6-20 years old LOCATION: Lake Padden Rotary Shelter COST: $350 (DDA funds/scholarships accepted) COORDINATOR: Lance Romo/April Katz MIN: 3 / MAX: 10 Photo by AIROW Project Riding is for Focus (R4F) A Specialized-sponsored bike program teaching lessons in overcoming barriers. R4F promotes cycling as an outlet for youth to improve cognitive, physical, and emotional well-being. This program is for any youth who identifies as neurodivergent and wants to learn to ride a conventional two-wheel bicycle independently. Bikes and helmets will be provided by The AIROW Project. This adaptive summer camp will build confidence and physical ability, enabling participants to enjoy the outdoors for everyone and EveryBODY. DAYS: Monday-Thursday DATES: Session 1: July 1-3 (3 days only) Session 2: July 8-11 Session 3: July 15-18 Session 4: July 22-25 Session 5: July 29-August 1 Session 6: August 5-8 Session 7: August 12-15 Session 8: August 19-22 TIME: 10:00 am–3:00 pm AGES: 6-20 years old LOCATION: TBA COST: $300/session (payment plans optional / DDA funds accepted) COORDINATOR: Lance Romo/April Katz MIN: 3 / MAX: 25 per session Adaptive Spring Break Camp The AIROW project creates adaptive and inclusive recreation opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
