SPRING/SUMMER PLAYBOOK 2024 | BELLINGHAM PARKS & RECREATION Adaptive 4 Camp T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More) Outrageously fun for teens and adults with developmental disabilities, Camp TEAM will be hosted at Bloedel Park again this year! Participants can register for one or both days of camp. We will play games, do arts and crafts, and explore outdoor adaptive sports ending with karaoke on Friday afternoon! Western Washington University Recreation Program students will be your energetic co-campers. If you require individual assistance during Camp TEAM, personal care assistants attend for free. A link to this year's Camp TEAM packet is on your registration receipt. All participants are required to fill out a Participant Information form in the Camp TEAM packet. Please Note: Registration and Participant Information forms must be completed by April 25th! This program is not eligible for a refund. Registration closes Thursday, April 25th. DAYS/DATES: Thursday, May 9 and/or Friday, May 10 TIMES & ACTIVITIES: Thursday, May 9 9:00 am–1:00 pm: Activities led by WWU Rec students 1:00–2:00 pm: Lunch time (bring your own lunch) 2:00–4:00 pm Activities led by WWU Rec students Friday, May 10 9:00 am–12:00 pm: Activities led by WWU Rec students 12:00–1:00 pm: Lunch time (bring your own lunch) 1:00–2:00 pm: Songs & games 2:00–4:00 pm: Karaoke with DJ Aireekah of Glitt3r Lyfe AGES: 16 years and older LOCATION: Bloedel Donovan Park COST: $10 per day COORDINATOR: Rosa Caldwell/Billy Reeves/WWU MIN: 20 / MAX: 40 (does not include personal care assistants) Sensory Friendly Sundays Families! Join us for sensory-friendly crafts and games. Drop-in and check out our sensory gloves, noise reduction headphones, weighted blankets, and toys. A Quiet Corner and different Sensory Stations are offered at each session for kids to explore movement, touch, smell, and more in a safe and understanding space. Additional opportunities are available at the Whatcom Museum's Low Sensory Sundays!
