Participants get in the water and work one-on-one with a volunteer to increase swim skills, flexibility, exercise and have fun! Cost: $45 Day/Time: Wednesdays, 4:30 – 5:15pm Dates: Oct. 16-Nov. 13 Register online at: cob.org/ezreg ARNE HANNA AQUATIC CENTER Training Courses Lifeguard Training Course Learn how to effectively prevent and respond to water emergencies. The certification includes First Aid, CPR, AED, Administering Emergency Oxygen, and Bloodborne Pathogens training. Training is valid for two years and is accepted nationwide. Prerequisites: 15 years or older and complete a swimming pretest at Arne Hanna. Cost: $200 Dates: Sundays, Oct. 20, 27, Nov. 3 Time: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm Registration deadline: October 14 Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED The course equips students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults children and infants. It is designed for students who need a certification that satisfies OSHA workplace or other regulatory requirements. Upon successful completion a valid 2 year digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED is issued. Prerequisites: 15 years or older Cost: $75 Dates: Saturday, October 12 Time: 9:00am – 1:00pm Registration deadline: October 7 Lifeguard Instructor Course Upon successful completion, you will be certified to instruct basic level Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, AED, Bloodborne Pathogens Training, Emergency Oxygen Administration, and Basic Water Rescue courses. Prerequisites: 17 years of age or older, current RedCross Lifeguard certification, swimming pretest and an online pre-course. Cost: $200 Dates: Friday-Sunday, December 13-15 Times: Fri 6:30 – 9:00 pm & Sat-Sun, 8:00am – 5:30pm Registration deadline: November 26 Water Safety Instructor Course This course trains instructor candidates to teach all of the courses presented in the Swimming and Water Safety program to all age groups. Courses include Parent and Child Aquatics, Preschool Aquatics and levels 1 - 6 of the Learn-to-Swim program. Prerequisites: 15 years or older and complete a swimming pretest at Arne Hanna Cost: $200 Dates: Friday-Sunday, December 6-8 Time: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm Registration deadline: November 24
