Youth/ Teen SPRING/SUMMER PLAYBOOK 2024 | BELLINGHAM PARKS & RECREATION 12 Week 1: Fashion is Passion June 24-June 28 This is a short week, and we are going to tap into our creativity to make works of art that are wear- able. The mini week will end with a Trashion Show! Week 2: How to be a Good Werewolf July 1-3 (No Camp July 4 & 5) This week learn how to be a good and friendly werewolf… you will NOT eat the park visitors! Week 3: Time Travelers July 8-12 Who's ready for some adventure? This week we build time machines and see where they take us! Week 4: Mad Scientist July 15-19 Time to throw on your lab coat and safety goggles! Campers will transform into mad scientists. Week 5: Lost in Space July 22-26 After years traveling in space in cryofreeze, alarms wake you. Sign up to learn what happens next! Week 6: Theatre & Improv July 29-August 2 Join us for a week of improv and theatre! BAAY will be visiting camp for fun improv games, and we will also cast, costume, and stage our own production. All skills and comfort levels are welcome in this warm, inclusive, and non-pressure environment. Week 7: Cooking Up a Storm August 5-7 (No Camp August 8 & 9) Who's hungry? We'll be cooking up a storm this week at camp. Expect eating competitions and cooking challenges all week! Week 8: Hogwarts August 12-16 Calling all wizards! Potions class, magical treats, and Quidditch matches await you this week. Week 9: Dumbledore's Army August 19-23 Join Dumbledore's Army to find and destroy hidden horcruxes. Only the most skilled witches and wizards will prevail against the Dark Arts! Camp Things to Remember: • Fill out Camper Information form (link on receipt) • Wear good walking/hiking shoes (sturdy tennis shoes will be great), no Crocs, open-toed sandals or flip flops except for swimming and water play • Rain/wind jacket and sun hat (dress for weather) • Filled water bottle • Lunch and snacks (Allergen Notice: we are a nut-free camp; we recommend sunbutter & jam sandwiches instead of PB&Js) • Swimsuit, towel, and water shoes for water play • Sunscreen spray • A positive and fun attitude! DAYS/DATES: Monday-Friday, June 24-August 23 TIME: 8:00 am–5:30 pm AGES: 7-12 years old LOCATION: Cordata Park Pavilion COST: $285 per week (Week 2 and Week 7 only $171) COORDINATOR: Rosa Caldwell MIN: 10 / MAX: 18 Camp Cordata Campers will get to enjoy all of the things we love about our day camps at our community's newest park pavilion! We will play games, hike, make arts and crafts, and take field trips to Bloedel to swim on Fridays! Pre-registration is required for each week.
