WINTER PLAYBOOK 2024 | BELLINGHAM PARKS & RECREATION Adaptive 4 DAY/DATES: Mondays / January 8 – March 25 (closed January 15, February 19, March 18) TIME: 4:00–6:00 pm AGES: 12 years and older LOCATION: Bloedel Donovan Community Building COST: FREE. Must sign liability waiver at the door. COORDINATORS: Billy Reeves / Jeff Bergman DAY/DATES: Sundays / January 21 and February 11 TIME: 1:00-3:00 pm AGES: 18 months–16 years old, with an adult LOCATION: Bloedel Donovan Community Building COST: FREE! COORDINATOR: Rosa Caldwell Photo by Bailey Hadley SPIN Dance Dance with us every third Monday of the month! Bellingham Parks and Recreation and the Max Higbee Center will host SPIN Dances for individuals with disabilities. Everyone 14 and older is invited to dance with us. DAY/DATES: Mondays / January 15, February 19, March 18, April 15 TIME: 6:00–8:00 pm AGES: 14 years and older LOCATION: Bloedel Donovan Community Building COST: FREE COORDINATORS: Rosa Caldwell/Max Higbee Center Sensory Friendly Sundays Families! Join us for sensory-friendly crafts and games. Drop in and check out our sensory gloves, noise reduction headphones, weighted blankets, and toys. A Quiet Corner and different Sensory Stations are offered at each session for kiddos to explore movement, touch, smell, and more in a safe and understanding space! Additional opportunities are available at the Whatcom Museum's Low Sensory Sundays too! GangBall An adaptive game that involves two teams, the object is to pass the "GangBall" to your teammates and take it to your endzone to score points. Open to all abilities — all bodies welcome and sports chairs are provided! Text or call to RSVP: (360) 303-2130 Mark your calendars! Camp TEAM will be May 9-10, 2024 at Bloedel. Camp TEAM is a day camp experience for people with disabilities ages 14 and up hosted in partner- ship with WWU's Recreation Management & Leadership program.
