Facility Rental Info cob.org/parks • (360) 778-7000 23 Andrew Larson Park Technician – Structures Andrew originates from Minnesota where he worked as a flooring contractor before taking some time to travel internationally, then relocating to Breckenridge CO for several years. After visiting Bellingham in 2012, he fell in love with the area and knew he had to find a way to end up here. In 2020 he made the move with his partner when she landed a job in Bellingham. Andrew enjoys all the outdoor opportunities that the Pacific Northwest has to offer, including camping, fishing, hiking, off-roading, and snowboarding. Remic Ensweiler Park Stewardship Supervisor Originally from Chicago, Remic has worked for a local Park District, a county DOT, the State of Illinois, a National Park, and spent over six years as the Natural Areas Manager at a Community College. He has a Bachelor and Master of Science in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. It took one group excursion to climb Mount Baker in the summer of 2022 for him to fall in love with Bellingham and its surrounding nature. He enjoys rock climbing, hiking, skiing, camping, and other activities he looks forward to pursuing in the beautiful Pacific Northwest! Jeremy Karns Park Worker – Trails Jeremy is originally from Michigan where he was taught to love anything to do with being outside. His hobbies include fishing, snowboarding, rock hounding, growing beautiful plants and trying to go on adventures as often as possible. He's been a landscaper for almost ten years and thoroughly enjoys his work. After being away from Bellingham for some time, he is very grateful to be back. Josh Tiller Park Ambassador Josh started as a new Park Ambassador in June 2023. He informs park visitors about city rules and regulations, keeps trails and public spaces free of litter, helps with various city events, and enjoys being the face of the parks for the residents and visitors of Bellingham. He previously served as an administrative ranger for Dinosaur Valley State Park in Texas, where he conducted interpretive talks and tours of dinosaur trackways and other cultural and natural resources. Josh enjoys hiking, kayaking, reading, playing video games, and is currently learning how to sail. He also has a love of languages and is studying Japanese and Brazilian Portuguese. Annalise Nordgren Arborist Technician Annalise joined the Forestry team as a Park Technician in April and became a Certified Arborist in September. She is originally from Chicago, IL, but spent many years living in Wisconsin. Annalise started learning about trees in an Urban Forestry research lab at DePaul University while earning her undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies. She worked with a tree care company, outside of Chicago where she learned to climb trees. She has developed a strong passion for tree care and is excited to be in a position where she can help care for Bellingham Parks and natural spaces and keep them safe for all to enjoy.
