Bellis Fair Branch Collection Has Expanded Additional shelving has arrived, allowing the Library to expand the collection at the Bellis Fair Branch. Stop by and explore the shelves, or have your holds sent to the branch for pick up. Hours are: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 2-6 p.m., Saturday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday, 1-5 p.m. Sunday Crafternoons for Tweens and Teens at Central Library Oct. 1, Nov. 5, Dec. 3 Ages 9-13, 1:30-3:00 p.m. Ages 13-18, 3:30-5:00 p.m. Do you like crafting? How about crafts and snacks? Join us the first Sunday of each month in the Lecture Room at the Central Library where we'll create a different craft each month. Sometimes we'll have a guest artist! The program is free, and all materials are provided. *Pre-registration for each session is required. Friends of the Library September Book Sale at Central Library Sept. 20, 21, 22, 10 am-6 p.m. Sept. 23, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. The Friends of the Library September Book Sale is back! Come down and browse a huge selection of books, DVDs, and more. All proceeds benefit your library. Skillshare Activities for Adults: Bellingham Storyteller's Guild at Central Library Friday, Sept. 1, Oct. 6, Nov. 3, Dec. 1, 4:30-5:45 p.m. An evening of storytelling for all ages by members of the Bellingham Storytellers Guild. This event is free and family friendly, though geared toward older children and adults. Kick off your First Friday Art Walk and enjoy the amazing performance art of storytelling! Genealogy Jump Start at Central Library Saturday, Oct. 14, 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Let researchers from the Whatcom Genealogical Society provide one-on-one help with starting your family tree, transitioning from a paper family tree to one on your computer, or help you with a "brick wall" in your research. Please note: Registration required, email Deanna Stewart at deannastewart40@gmail.com Experience Brain Fitness for Adults of All Ages at Central Library Sept. 12, 26, Oct. 24, Nov. 7, 21, Dec. 5, 1:30-2:30 p.m. Come get your brain loose and limber with fun brain training games and exercises led by Certified Brain Fitness Trainer Dawn Anderson.
