FALL PLAYBOOK 2023 | BELLINGHAM PARKS & RECREATION Sports/Fitness 20 POUND ™ : Rockout–Workout! Join Mind Body & Soul Fitness for this cardio jam session inspired by drumming. POUND™ is a full body work- out combining cardio, condi- tioning, and strength training with yoga and Pilates inspired movements. We'll supply RipStix, lightly weighted drumsticks that are made for exercising and yoga mats. This workout is easily modifiable and designed for all fitness levels. Let loose, tone up, gain energy, and rock out with POUND! DAYS/DATES: Mondays and Wednesdays: Sept. 11–Oct. 18 (12 Sessions) TIMES: 5:30–6:30 pm AGES: 16 years and older LOCATION: Maritime Heritage Park Pavilion COST: 6 Punch–Pass: $72 / 12 Punch–Pass: $130 COORDINATOR: Billy Reeves / Kaitlyn Sacco MIN: 4 / MAX: 15 DAY/DATE: Sunday, Oct. 22 TIMES: Check-in begins at 12:00 pm, races at 1:00 pm AGES: All ages LOCATION: Civic Stadium COST: Kids 12 and under $10; 13 and older $20 COORDINATOR: Billy Reeves MIN: 20 / MAX: 40 per race Denim Donut Dash Come with your most creative denim outfits and indulge in a delightful challenge! This race entails running/walking 4 laps around a 400m track. Before each lap you must consume 1 donut — 4 donuts in total! Two age-group races. Are you up for this denimventurous challenge? Adult Indoor Volleyball Leagues Returning this Fall. Matches will be played at various Bellingham Public Schools and announced once schedules have been created. Teams can expect a fun 12-match season consisting of 3 refereed games each week. The season is broken up into two halves. Upon completion of the first 6 matches, teams will be moved up/down in divisions based upon competitive balancing criteria. Champions will be determined by overall divisional standings. Registration for all leagues will be open September 5-October 9 (or until filled) and will be taken on a first paid basis. If you do not have a team, please contact the Parks and Recreation office to be placed on a pick-up player list. Please note: Season dates may be adjusted per additional school closures and/or reservation modifications. Monday Women's Volleyball Great competition in up to 3 different divisions. Teams may schedule a practice time with coordinator for October 9 or 16. Details for schedules and practice times will be sent to all captains ahead of season. DAY/DATES: Mondays, Oct. 23–Feb. 12 (No matches Dec. 18, 25, Jan. 1, 15, 22) TIMES: 6:15 pm; 7:15 pm; 8:15 pm AGES: 18 years and older LOCATION: Various Bellingham Schools COST: $425 per team (12 matches) COORDINATOR: Patrick Ulinski MIN: 6 teams / MAX: 21 teams
