Family/Community SPRING/SUMMER PLAYBOOK 2021 | BELLINGHAM PARKS & RECREATION 14 BRANCH OUT BELLINGHAM Branch Out Bellingham is a program highlighting our rich and diverse community of arts and enrichment partners. These are the people that make our community extra special and we are showcasing their talents! Bellingham Parks and Recreation is proud to organize this program. We hope you will join a session (or more!) to experience a taste of Bellingham's finest entertainers and organizations! Spring on Cornwall by Ellen Greene Smart Trips Adventure Camp Adventure, exercise, confidence, independence and self- esteem. Kids 12-14 can get all of these (and more!) by learning to walk, bike and ride the bus for transportation. The Smart Trips Adventure Camp will train kids to travel safely and independently in Bellingham. Whatcom Smart Trips Staff will use games, field trips and classroom activities to teach map-reading, walking and bicycle safety, and bus route planning. All skills will then be put to the test during a super-fun Urban Transportation Scavenger Hunt! Participants must attend all training sessions (Mon-Thurs) to compete in the Urban Transportation Challenge on Friday. Bring a bike to ride on Monday and Wednesday. Loaner bikes can be arranged with advance notice. Co-sponsored by Smart Trips and Bellingham Parks and Recreation. DAYS/DATES: Monday – Friday Session 1: July 12-16 Session 2: August 2-6 Session 3: August 16-20 Please note: Activities are subject to change due to COVID-19 restrictions TIME: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm AGES: 12-14 years old LOCATION: Monday thru Wednesday: Cornwall Park Large Shelter, Thursday & Friday: 314 E.
