COST: 5 classes, $50 each, or $200 for all 5 classes COORDINATORS: Lance Romo/Andy Porter MIN: 6 / MAX: 12 Photo by Andy Porter Capture Awesome Images with your DSLR – Beginners-Level 1 Taking pictures with your new DSLR is easy, just set it on auto and shoot away. Capturing GOOD pictures with your new DSLR… that's harder! Join renowned NW photographer Andy Porter as he explains how to adjust settings for aperture, shutter speed and ISO to produce quality photographs. In addition, you'll explore the ad- vantages of capturing images in the RAW format, brack- eting and using polarizers. A DSLR (digital single lens reflex) camera & knowledge of where to adjust settings are required for this class. Two dates to choose from. Introduction to Photoshop As a Nature – Landscape – Night Sky Photographer editing and prepping images for printing is integral to Andy Porter's work. In this series of classes you will learn how to enhance your images using Camera Raw. Each creative lesson will cover a new feature. Students must have a current subscription to Photoshop and have some familiarity with it. In other words, please don't download Photoshop for the first time and expect to be able to follow along! The series of 5 classes can be purchased separately for $50 a class, or as a package for $200 for all 5 classes. You will also need to have a camera or cell phone to capture images with as well as a simple tripod. Class 1 – Camera Raw Will cover how to use Camera Raw to edit landscape images as well as how to save them for sharing and printing. There will be photos to down- load and edit together, in addition to independent editing of your own images in Camera Raw. Assignment: Edit two of your own pics with Camera Raw and submit before and after. Class 2 – Camera Raw and Panorama Reviews Camera Raw, incorporates additional tools to make stunning images. Assignment review. How to use Photoshop to create wonderful panoramas. Assignment: Capture a set of 3 to 5 images, edit in Photoshop per panorama lesson and submit one complete image. Class 3 – Multiplicity This lesson will cover how to capture a set of images of one person in different spots and edit them in Photoshop, so it looks as if you've "cloned" them! Assignment: Take a set of images, following the instructions, edit them per the video and submit 1 complete Multiplicity image. Class 4 - Levitation A simple trick in Photoshop, with stunning results! This class will cover how to capture the images you need and the Photoshop methods to create your own "levitation" image. Assignment: Capture, edit and submit your own best Levitation image. Class 5 - Review & Resources We will take some time to review the submissions from the last 3 lessons, answer questions, and cover a wide array of resources for your continued fun!
