Purpose and Priori es The Depot Market Square was developed through a public/private partnership to provide both a permanent home for the Bellingham Farmers' Market and to facilitate community gatherings in the heart of Bellingham's downtown. On weekdays, this facility balances parking demand with the demand for public space for community and private events. Therefore, reserva ons are organized in strict accordance with the schedule shown in the rate table on page 8. Remember, this unique structure meets a variety of community needs and the rental schedule is configured accordingly. We appreciate your coopera on. The City retains the right to cancel any scheduled use in the event of an emergency or for other City requirements as determined by the Mayor. In the event a scheduled use must be cancelled, the City will no fy affected par es as soon as possible. Applica ons/Reserva ons Event Scheduling Priority Scheduling is first-come, first-serve. Applica ons must be made a minimum of 10 days in advance. In the rare event that two or more applica ons are received on the same day, the following order of priority will apply: 1. City of Bellingham events 2. Community events: Open to the general public with evidence of community announcement made at least 10 days in advance of the event. 3. Private events: If two private event applica ons are received, seeking a reserva on for the same date, the first completed applica on submi ed will receive the date. The City accepts applica ons up to 12 months in advance of the date of the event, subject to annual rate adjustments. Applica ons will be processed in the order received. Submi al of an applica on does not guarantee availability. Applica ons will be reviewed and either accepted, limited, or denied. 5
