Depot Market Square Facility Use Summary Facility– Depot Market Square rentals are granted on a first-come, first-serve basis in accordance with the rate table on page 6. Payment of the $250 security deposit ($500 deposit if alcohol is served) reserves your date. The City reserves the right to cancel any scheduled use in the event of an emergency or other City requirement. User/Contrac ng Party– The applicant must be of legal age to be responsible for payment of fees, deposits, losses caused by damage or the , and for obtaining addi onal required local, state or federal permits. In all instances, the person accep ng responsibility for use of the site must be available at event close for the final walk-through. Reserva ons– The facility can be reserved up to 12 months in advance subject to annual rate increases. Applica ons must be made a minimum of 10 days in advance; others will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Scheduling– Scheduling must be confirmed by Parks & Recrea on staff. Payment of the security deposit is required when the applica on is approved. All other fees and submi als are due within 20 days of reserva on, We accept cash, check or VISA/MasterCard/AMEX/Discover. Make checks payable to Bellingham Parks & Recrea on. Smoking/Alcohol– Smoking is prohibited in all City facili es. Applicants who plan to serve alcohol must obtain permission from the City and provide adequate insurance coverage prior to use . Applicants will also be required to obtain a Banquet Permit in accordance with State Liquor Control Board requirements. Insurance– For all events, the City requires a Cer ficate of Insurance providing $1 million coverage per occurrence and with the contrac ng party listed as the insured. The insurance must name the City of Bellingham as an addi onal insured, be primary and noncontributory with any other insurance for which the City is a named insured, and include endorsement forms showing this coverage. If alcohol is to be consumed at the event, alcohol service/provision must be specifically stated on the policy. The Cer ficate of Insurance and endorsements must be submi ed at least 20 days prior to the event date. Parking/Courtyard Use– Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM parking within the lot is by permit only, and from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM paid parking is available at on-street meters and within the public lot near La Fiamma Restaurant.
