Family/Community SPRING/SUMMER PLAYBOOK 2026 | BELLINGHAM PARKS & RECREATION 20 JOIN US! Join us for unique adventures each month! Registration fees include transportation, admissions and guide. Participants should bring money for food and purchases unless otherwise noted and wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and shoes. Transportation will be provided in a 12-passenger van. Pre-registration is required. All trips to British Columbia require a valid passport, WA enhanced driver's license or NEXUS card. DAY/DATE: Saturday / April 11 TIME: 9:30 am-5:30 pm AGES: 10 years and older (under 18 with an adult) COST: $60 Georgetown Steam Plant and Olympic Sculpture Park Travel in time today as we visit one of Seattle's National Historic Landmarks and then fast-forward to an outdoor contemporary sculpture collection. Our day begins with a docent-led tour at the steam plant highlighting the important role it played beginning in 1906. We'll break for a no-host lunch before venturing up to the modern-day Olympic Sculpture Park. Please note: Both locations include steps and uneven surfaces and require walking and standing for a long period of time. DAY/DATE: Tuesday / May 26 TIME: 9:00 am-5:00 pm AGES: 14 years and older (under 18 with an adult) COST: $85 Exquisite Creatures – The Artwork of Christopher Marley This renowned traveling exhibition combines the best of art, nature and science! Featuring 3D works of art made from real, preserved mineral, plant and insect specimens. After visiting this uniquely beautiful exhibit, you'll have time to explore the amazing new Seattle Waterfront. DAY/DATE: Wednesday / April 22 TIME: 9:30 am-5:30 pm AGES: 12 years and older (under 18 with adult) COST: $70 Volunteer Park Conservatory and Washington Park Arboretum Earth Day is the perfect day to visit both the historic Conservatory nestled in the beautifully designed Olmsted Brothers' park, and the Arboretum — enjoying a docent-led tour. In between, we'll enjoy a no-host lunch. DAY/DATE: Wednesday / May 13 TIME: 3:30-11:00 pm AGES: 16 years and older (under 18 with an adult) COST: $90 Jesus Christ Superstar at the 5th Avenue Theatre The ultimate rock opera! Jesus Christ Superstar is a global phenomenon that has wowed audiences for decades. A collaboration between theatrical powerhouses Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, this iconic production is a high-energy musical. Don't miss the performance that changed the stage forever and set a whole new bar for musical theater! Prior to the show, you'll have time for a no-host dinner. Fee includes Middle Orchestra seats.
