Build confidence and physical ability, while enjoying the outdoors with friends. Registration opens May 1. Adaptive Cycling Club The AIROW Project is pleased to offer a Riding for Everyone bike program that will allow children and youth to learn and experience riding bikes in a barrier- free environment. This program is specifically designed for riders with diverse abilities that would benefit from an adapted environment. The goal is to allow all riders to learn basic bike skills and overall motor skills in a supported and small-scale environment while creating new friendships along the way. Staff coaches will focus on creating opportunities for meaningful participation rather than competition. DAYS: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays DATES: Session 1: July 10, 12, 14 Session 2: July 24, 26, 28 Session 3: August 7, 9, 11 Session 4: August 21, 23, 25 TIME/AGES: 9:00 am–12:00 pm; 6-12 years old 1:00–4:00 pm; 13-25 years old LOCATION: Session 1: Bloedel Donovan Park Session 2: Lake Padden Session 3: Fairhaven Park Session 4: Cordata Park COST: $200/session (DDA funds/scholarships accepted) COORDINATORS: April Katz/Lance Romo MIN: 3 / MAX: 8 per session DAY/DATES: Mondays, May 1–June 19 (8 weeks) TIME: 4:00–6:00 pm AGES: 6-20 LOCATION: Lake Padden COST: $350 (DDA funds/scholarships accepted) COORDINATORS: April Katz/Lance Romo MIN: 3 / MAX: 10 Photo by AIROW Project Riding is for Focus (R4F) A Specialized-sponsored bike program which instills confidence in middle schoolers and teaches lessons in overcoming barriers. R4F promotes cycling as an outlet for youth to improve cognitive, physical, and emotional well-being and is designed for students who identify as neurodivergent and want to learn to ride a conventional two-wheel bicycle independently. Bikes and helmets will be provided by The AIROW Project.
