FALL PLAYBOOK 2022 | BELLINGHAM PARKS & RECREATION Family/Community Events 14 Peter Gill Park Planning and Development Coordinator Peter will be working with the Design and Development division on planning studies, development review, property acquisitions, Greenways Advisory Committee, GIS, and more. Peter is a geographer with a background in natural resource management and comprehensive planning. Most recently, he worked as the Long Range Planning Manager for Skagit County. Peter and his wife live here in Bellingham and keep busy raising teenagers, sheep, and goats. Chris Ram Park Operations Administrative Secretary Chris will be supporting our Parks Operations division in a variety of administrative support functions including oversight and backup assistance for the Bayview Cemetery as well as providing support to the Sehome Hill Arboretum Board of Governors (SHABOG), Lake Padden Golf Committee, and Park Donation Program. Chris has a master's degree in Communications from Purdue University and a bachelor's degree in the same discipline from Arizona State University. Most recently she worked for PeaceHealth St. Joseph's Medical Center. Chris and her husband live in Blaine and enjoy gardening. STAFF SPOTLIGHTS We were very fortunate to have several new staff members join our talented Parks and Recreation Team recently. Each bring their own excellent experience and passion for community, open space and quality programs. The next time you are out and about, please help us welcome them by saying, "hello". Padden Polar Dip & Resolution Run/Walk It's back and cooler (pun intended!) than ever. Join us as we start the New Year off on the right foot with a stroll or jog around beautiful and serene Lake Padden. Then get ready to take the plunge into the chilly lake with all the other hearty souls. Bring your enthusiasm and resolutions and pack a towel, change of clothes and shoes that can get wet (a must have!). DAY/DATE: Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023 TIME: Walk/Run: 11:00 am; Dip: 12:00 pm sharp! AGES: All ages (16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult). LOCATION: Lake Padden West Entrance. Meet in front of the bath house. COST: Free
