Youth/ Teen SPRING/SUMMER PLAYBOOK 2021 | BELLINGHAM PARKS & RECREATION 8 BELLINGCAMP Campers will stretch their imaginations, play silly games, learn new skills, build friendships and make lasting memories all in a safe environment this summer! Each day includes a variety of exciting activities, swimming, arts and crafts, snacks, games and more! Space is limited. Sign up today and get ready to have fun, fun, fun! BellingCamp Tortoises and Hares Tortoises will spend a full day of camp at Bloedel's pavilion from 8:30 am-5:30 pm. Hares will spend half the day at camp in Bloedel's gym. AM Hares will attend camp from 7:30 am-12:00 pm and PM Hares will attend from 1:00-5:30 pm. Detailed schedules can be found on our website at cob.org/recreation Weekly Themes: Tortoises Week 1, June 28-July 1: Wonka Week The gates to Wonka's Chocolate Factory have been closed for years… get a sneak peek at what the Oompa Loompas have been crafting! Campers treated to a cooking class by Tiny Onion Cooking School on Wednesday! Week 2, July 6-9: Hogwarts Expect to play rounds of quidditch, explore potion making, and make magical treats! Yorkshire puddings and butterbeer cooking class by Tiny Onion Cooking School on Wednesday! Week 3, July 12-15: Mad Scientists Time to throw on your lab coat and safety googles! This week campers will transform into mad scientists. Week 4, July 19-22: Finding Bigfoot Legend has it that Bigfoot haunts Bloedel Donovan and Whatcom Falls in the summer! The hunt for Bigfoot will test your outdoor survival and tracking skills. If you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the elusive creature. Week 5, July 26-29: Bees, Trees, and Seas Let's explore nature with hikes, games, and crafts this week. Campers will buzz around, learning about our incredible environment. Week 6, August 2-5: UnBirthday Invitation Campers are invited to a very merry UnBirthday in Wonderland this week! Cupcake decorating, gift wrap games, musical chairs, are just some of the fun things the Cheshire Cat will treat us to! Tiny Onion Cooking School leads festive culinary creations on Wednesday! DAYS/DATES: Monday–Thursday; June 28-August 5 Week 2 will be Tuesday-Friday. TIME: 8:30 am–5:30 pm AGES: Ages 8-14 years LOCATION: Bloedel Donovan Beach Pavilion COST: $216 per week COORDINATOR: Rosa Caldwell MIN: 5 / MAX: 10 BellingCamp: Tortoises (Full Day of Camp) DAYS/DATES: Monday–Friday; June 28-August 20 TIME: AM Hares 7:30 am-12:00 pm or PM Hares 1:00-5:30 pm AGES: Ages 6-14 years LOCATION: Bloedel Donovan Community Building COST: $135 per week, ($108 for Week 2, July 6-9) COORDINATOR: Rosa Caldwell MIN: 10 / MAX: 14 in either AM or PM BellingCamp: AM Hares or PM Hares Please note: Campers may only sign up for either AM or PM Hares.
