Youth/ Teen SPRING/SUMMER PLAYBOOK 2021 | BELLINGHAM PARKS & RECREATION 6 DAYS/DATES: Monday - Friday, August 16-20 TIME: 10:00 am-12:00 pm AGES: 7-16 LOCATION: Bellingham Skate Park or Depot Market Square (in case of inclement weather) COST: $60 COORDINATOR: Rosa Caldwell, aka Rumble Rose MIN: 5 / MAX: 10 MONEYWISE: Teen Financial Literacy Program Using the Moneywise Financial Literacy Program created by Andrew Crowell, Vice Chairman of Wealth Management at D.A. Davidson, teens will learn about various things including banking, budgeting, paychecks, purchasing a car, savings, investing and the cost of college. Former participants reported back that the interactive class was a fun way to learn about money and that the class empowered them to take control of their financial future. Christine Gary has lived in Bellingham for over 25 years and has worked at D.A. Davidson since 2012. In her current position she works closely with financial advisors on their use of software and enjoys teaching people new things. DAYS/DATES: Tuesdays & Thursdays, April 20, 22, 27, 29 TIME: 3:00-4:00 pm AGES: 13-18 LOCATION: Online. We'll send a link prior to class COST: Free COORDINATORS: Lance Romo / Christine Gary MIN: 5 / MAX: 15 Check in Health Screening Process: Check in between 9:45-10:00 am. Adult who is dropping off will fill out the Symptom Check Form and hand to screener. Camper's temperature will be taken, and form verbally reviewed. On completion, camper will join camp. Checking Out: The same adult who dropped off camper will arrive for pick up between 12:00-12:15 pm. Summer Skate Camp Come skate with local expert Zac Garza and his crew from Unknown Board Shop and the best skate camp counselor Rumble Rose! Come out and get down on some basics, new tricks, and a filming sesh! Important Notes: • Campers must have their own helmet, pads, and skateboard and wear closed toed shoes each day. • Campers must wear a face mask and remain physically distanced during camp. • Bring a full water bottle each day and eat before arriving to camp. Snacking is not permitted during camp unless arranged with Coordinator. • The same guardian should drop off/pick up all week. • Please arrive between 9:45 and 10:00 to check in at our health screening station. • If camper has special needs, please call: (360) 595-3728 to discuss adaptation arrangements. • Refunds will not be issued for days camp is canceled. • In the case of bad weather, camp will be held at Depot Market Square.
