AGES: All ages DAY/DATE: Saturday, October 28 TIME: 4:30–6:30pm LOCATION: Arne Hanna Aquatic Center COST: $5 to swim and take a pumpkin home COORDINATOR: Justin Shields THRILLINGHAM! "Darkness falls across the land. The midnight hour is close at hand..." HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Learn the dance to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and support a local charity in the process! Classes culminate in a zombie-filled performance on Halloween night! Join us on the following Friday nights from 7-9pm at the Bloedel Donovan Park Multi-Purpose Room to learn the choreography: Sept 29, Oct 6, Oct 13, and Oct 27. EVENT: Join Thrillingham and friends on Halloween night for a zombie-filled performance of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" followed by a community dance party! All proceeds will support Brigadoon Service Dogs. The evening kicks off at 8pm on Tuesday, October 31 at Maritime Heritage Park. DATE: Tuesday, October 31 TIME: 8-10 pm LOCATION: Maritime Heritage Park RESOLUTION WALK - RUN Start the New Year off right with a brisk jog or walk around beautiful Lake Padden. It's free and it starts at 11am sharp. We won't be formally timing the event, but we'll have a clock up for those curious to check time or race buddies. AGES: All ages DAY/DATE: Monday, January 1 TIME: 11am LOCATION: Padden bath house COORDINATOR: Lance Romo COST: FREE PADDEN POLAR DIP At high noon we'll line up for a quick dip in chilly Lake Padden. Last year it was a smokin' 38 degrees! We'll have hot beverages, snacks and warm showers. Lifeguards will be on duty to make sure everyone stays safe. Come to watch, but bring a towel just in case. We recommend parents consult a pediatrician before allowing children 10 years old or younger to participate.
