360-778-7000 cob.org/recreation 13 DAY/DATE: Saturday, June 24 TIME: Long Course: 8:30am Short Course: 1pm LOCATION: Lake Padden TIME LIMIT: Competitive: 3 hours Recreational: 2.5 hours MAX: 325 COST: SOLD OUT COORDINATOR: Lance Romo TRIATHLON CLINIC Bellingham Parks & Recreation and TRAIN-OR- TRI will host a HANDS-ON transition clinic walking athletes through the rigors of properly racking their bike in transition, effectively laying out necessary swim/bike/run gear, zipping in/out of wetsuits to the water's edge and back into T1 where swim gear is swapped for bike gear, leaving T1 with bike in tow, re-racking bikes in T2 and swapping bike gear for run gear prior to leaving T2, and finishing with a smile. In addition, this clinic will touch on prerace bike maintenance, bike gear readiness and transition racking strategies, nutrition loading on bikes, saddlebag preparedness, and how to meet the mental demands of possible T1 & T2 chaos. cob.org/races • 360-778-7000 • lromo@cob.org AGES: All DAY/DATE: Saturday, June 10 TIME: 12 noon–2pm LOCATION: Lake Padden Bathhouse (4882 Samish Way) COST: Free COORDINATORS: Mo Trainor/Lance Romo BELLINGHAM YOUTH TRIATHLON Perfect for any kid who likes to swim, bike and run or even just one as relay teams are welcome. Our goal is to have fun with exercise. The event is timed to the nearest second, but results are posted in alpha/reverse alpha order. DAYS and TIMES: Monday-Friday, 8:30am and 10am; Saturday, 11am LOCATION: Arne Hanna Aquatic Center COST: Adult—$6 single visit Youth/Senior/Disabled—$5 single visit 10 Visit, 3 Month and Annual passes also available DEEP-WATER AEROBICS AND DEEP-WATER RUNNING INTERVAL CLASSES Participants must be comfortable in deep water (12ft). This deep water class combines water resistance with zero-impact and uses a variety of exercises to achieve a high energy, aerobic water workout. DAYS & TIMES: Monday-Friday, 7:30am (Interval class) Monday- Thursday, 5:45pm (Aerobics) LOCATION: Arne Hanna Aquatic Center COST: Adult—$6 single visit Youth/Senior/Disabled—$5 single visit 10 Visit, 3 Month and Annual passes also available SPRINGBOARD DIVING CLASSES A fun springboard diving program for divers 6 years and older. (Must have at least Youth 4 swimming ability) The diving program will work on the basic approach and dives. As the divers progress, more complex dives will be practiced. DAYS/DATES: Advanced: Mondays, June 12-July 31 (No class June 19) Beginner: Tuesdays, June 13-August 1 (No class June 20 or July 4) TIME: 4:40–5:40pm AGES: 6 and older with at least Youth 4 swimming ability LOCATION: Arne Hanna Aquatic Center COST: Mondays, $84 — 7 classes Tuesdays, $72 — 6 classes
