The Outdoors for All Foundation will be bringing a small fleet of adaptive cycles that will allow people of all abilities to enjoy cycling. "Have a go" on these unique "bikes" which include handcycles for riders with limited or no leg movement; 3 and 4 wheel cycles for those who need more stability; and tandem cycles for those who want a guide while cycling. We will have cycles for kids and adults. The OUTDOORS FOR ALL staff are skilled at selecting the right type of cycle to meet your needs. ALL MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY ARE WELCOME! Established in 1993, NWTRC is a PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center. Our adaptive year-round recreation program in Whatcom County serves people with physical, emotional and cognitive disabilities. MAX HIGBEE CENTER Max Higbee Center (MHC) has been providing social and community-based recreational opportunities for teens and adults with developmental disabilities for over 30 years. YOUNG ADULT SELF-ADVOCACY The Arc's Young Adult Self-Advocacy (YASA) group helps young adults with developmental disabilities become strong self- advocates. Self-advocates are people with disabilities who speak up for themselves and others. They can express themselves with spoken words, sign language, language boards and in other ways unique to themselves. Self-advocacy enables people with disabilities to live a fulfilling in the community with the support they need. Are you between 16 and 30? Are you an eligible client of the Developmental Disabilities Administration? If you answered yes to both questions, then you are welcome to join! We will play games and get to know each other. We will learn about helping others and helping ourselves. You need not have any special skills to join the group. ll meetings are free!
