Course covers: • First Aid basics • CPR techniques • AED operation Receive a digital certificate valid for 2 years! Cost: $125 Date: Sunday, May 31 Time: 9:00 am–1:00 pm Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course Learn how to save lives and stay safe around water! This course includes: • Water rescue techniques • CPR and First Aid • AED use • Emergency response planning • Surveillance and safety skills Training includes classroom lessons + hands-on practice. Earn a nationally recognized certification — valid for two years! Prerequisites: 15 years or older and complete a swimming pretest at Arne Hanna. Cost: $250 First Session Dates: (Sundays) 4/19, 4/26, 5/03 Second Session Dates: (Mon-Wed) 6/15-6/17 Time: 8:00 am–5:30 pm ADAPTED AQUATICS – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Our Adapted Aquatics program is for individuals, three years and older, with special needs. Partici- pants get in the water and work one-on-one with a volunteer to improve swimming skills and flexibility, while exercising, socializing, and having fun! Wednesdays Dates: 4/8 thru 5/27/26 (no meeting 4/15) Time: 4:15pm – 5:30pm Fridays Dates: 4/10 thru 5/29/26 (no meeting 4/17) Time: 5:00pm – 6:00pm Lifeguard Training Pretest: 150 yard swim, crawl or breast stroke, followed by two minutes of treading water with no hands, followed by another 50 yard swim, crawl or breast stroke. 20 yard swim using crawl or breast stroke, dive 7-10ft to retrieve a 10 lb. brick, return to surface and swim back to the starting point with both hands on the brick and face out of the water. (Time limit of 1 min. 40 sec.) Dive to the bottom of the dive tank to retrieve a 10 lb. brick.
