Full Day Intro to Kayaking
Designed for complete beginners or those looking for
a refresher, this class covers the fundamentals of
kayaking. The morning is spent learning essential
strokes and maneuvers necessary to move the kayak.
Following a break for lunch (bring your own), we
spend the afternoon practicing self and assisted
rescues. This course will prepare you to paddle in
calm, near-shore environments, and is a great precursor
to joining a local paddling club or taking longer trips
on your own. Small group size maximizes learning
opportunities, and all equipment, including kayaks
and wetsuits, is included in the cost. Instructor Josh
White is a ACA Level 3 Coastal Kayak Instructor.
