Want to learn classics like Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Song of Old Hawaii, or Let it Be? In this class, you will learn essential chords and strumming patterns to play the songs you love. No past ukulele experience is necessary! This class is being taught by Bo Bestvina, music teacher at Gifts of Music NW. DAY/DATES: Wednesday Session 1: Sept. 10-Oct. 1 Session 2: Oct. 8-29 TIMES: 5:30–6:30 pm AGES: 10 and older (under 18 with adult supervision) LOCATION: Fairhaven Park Pavilion COST: $120 per session COORDINATOR: Lance Romo/Bo Bestvina MIN: 6 / MAX: 20 Intro to Scottish Country Dancing Scottish Country Dancing is the social dancing of Scotland. It is one of the root influences of US folk dancing. In each 6-week session you will progress from learning basic steps and figures which build into fun group dances. Dance to the joyful music of jigs and reels and the elegant strathspey. Wear soft soled shoes or your favorite sneakers.
