Build a remote- controlled drone, then take/pass the FAA's Recreational UAS Safety Test for drones. After the test we'll fly the drones around the club! At the end of the day, you'll take your drone home. Pack a snack & water bottle. May the 4th Be With You A super fun, hands-on Star Wars™ workshop! Use green screen magic to transport yourself to a galaxy far, far away, and bring your favorite scenes to life with stop-motion animation. Make spaceships zoom, droids dance, and lightsaber duels. Perfect for kids who love Star Wars™ and making movies. Costumes encouraged. DAY/DATE: Sunday / May 4 TIME: 2:00-4:00 pm AGES: 7-10 years old LOCATION: Bellingham Coding and Robotics Club (3230 Meridian St., Next to Cornwall Park) COST: $30 COORDINATORS: Rosa Caldwell/Robin Smiley MIN: 8 / MAX: 12 DAY/DATE: Sunday / April 27 TIME: 1:00–4:00 pm AGES: 9–12 years LOCATION: Bellingham Coding and Robotics Club (3230 Meridian St., Next to Cornwall Park) COST: $70 (includes building your own drone) COORDINATORS: Rosa Caldwell/Robin Smiley MIN: 5 / MAX: 8 Robotics Engineering & STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) Get hands-on experience building Lego TM Mindstorms, VEX IQ and Vex V5 Robots. They will play robot soccer and learn the current game, learn coding skills, learn how to use 3D printers and laser cutters. Whatever the student has a passion for, we will rock it!
