Caldwell Clark Park Arborist Caldwell moved to Bellingham in 2014 where he was drawn to the large trees and access to the outdoors the area provides. With a degree in Forestry from the University of Vermont and a decade of experience in arboriculture, he is excited to share his knowledge and passion to manage, mitigate and re-green the urban forests within Bellingham's city parks and open spaces. Reagan Mishler Facilities Field Supervisor Reagan moved to Northern Washington after hiking the Pacific Northwest Trail, and for the past three years he worked for the City of Mount Vernon before accepting a job with Bellingham Parks & Recreation. He grew up in Michigan but lived in five different states before making Washington his home. He has worked in parks and recreation for over 8 years and spends much of his free time outside — backpacking, skiing, and climbing are his favorites. He is excited for the opportunity to serve his community through his position as the Facilities Field Supervisor. Mackenzie Kilroy Stewardship Coordinator Mackenzie has diverse experience in garden-focused program coordination and education. As a Food Educator for Common Threads Farm they taught gardening and cooking classes in Bellingham elementary schools. They also worked at the Lakewood Boating Center and WWU's Outdoor Center as a diversity outreach coordinator, creating outdoor recreation programs for traditionally excluded users. Mackenzie will be coordinating the Community Garden and Wetland Mitigation programs, and they are looking forward to getting out into the parks and community gardens and building connections within the community. In their free time, Mackenzie can be found outside skiing, climbing and walking Bellingham's trails or at trivia nights around town. Staff Spotlight
