SPRING/SUMMER PLAYBOOK 2025 | BELLINGHAM PARKS & RECREATION Adaptive 4 Registration closes Friday, April 25. Camp TEAM is sponsored by Western Washington University and Bellingham Parks & Recreation. Please pre-register for this special event! Bellingham Parks & Recreation and the Max Higbee Center will host an Ice Cream Social for individuals with disabilities. Everyone 14 and older is invited to dance with us to music provided by Glitt3r Lyfe's Aireekah! DAY/DATE: Monday / August 18 TIME: 6:00–8:00 pm AGES: 14 years and older LOCATION: Depot Market Square COST: FREE (please pre-register) COORDINATORS: Rosa Caldwell/Max Higbee Center MAX: 100 (includes personal care assistants) Camp T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More) An outrageously fun experience for teens and adults with developmental disabilities, Camp TEAM will be hosted at Bloedel Donovan Park again this year! Participants can register for one or both days of camp. We will play games, do arts and crafts, and explore outdoor adaptive sports ending with karaoke on Friday! Western Washington University Recreation Program students will be your energetic co-campers. If you require individual assistance during Camp TEAM, personal care assistants attend for free. A link to this year's Camp TEAM packet is on your registration receipt. All participants are required to fill out a Participant Information form. Forms can be found online or in the Camp TEAM packet. Please Note: Registration and Participant Information forms must be completed by April 25! This program is not eligible for a refund. DAYS/DATES: Thursday / May 8 and/or Friday / May 9 TIMES & ACTIVITIES: Thursday, May 8 9:00 am–1:00 pm: Adaptive Kayaking with the Community Boating Center & activities led by WWU Recreation students 1:00–2:00 pm: Lunch time (bring your own lunch) 2:00–4:00 pm Activities led by WWU Rec students Friday, May 9 9:00 am–12:00 pm: Activities led by WWU Rec students 12:00–1:00 pm: Lunch time (bring your own lunch) 1:00–2:00 pm: Songs & games 2:00–4:00 pm: Karaoke with DJ Aireekah of Glitt3r Lyfe AGES: 16 years and older LOCATION: Bloedel Donovan Park COST: $10 per day COORDINATORS: Rosa Caldwell/WWU MIN: 20 / MAX: 40 (does not include personal care assistants) The City conforms to Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Terrain conditions vary based on program locations. Refer to these icons: Conditions include snow and/or ice. Mostly flat, simple maneuverability. Program includes water activity, uneven entry points. Some uneven surfaces, may need some assistance. Uneven or steep terrain, not easily accessible. This program is eligible for a reduced fee waiver/scholarship.
