Three dates to choose from. Introduction to Belly Dance Have you ever wanted to try belly dance? Join this beginner workshop to learn belly dance! This class will teach posture, basic belly dance movements, and exciting shimmies! Along with the moves, instructor Rachel will share some of the history, culture, and music of belly dance. No dance experience needed to have a wonderful time in this class! Class is open to all. Travelogue Series Join us and enjoy an armchair journey through the country of Yemen along with Socotra Island. Local traveler and adventurer, Jake Strauss, will share captivating images and stories of his experiences, "From Garden of Eden to Purgatory". Co-sponsored by Whatcom Museum. Yoga & Sound Therapy Bring a blanket and yoga mat to Maritime Heritage Park's pavilion and enjoy 15-minutes of gentle yoga before the soothing sound vibrations of Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, and bells for deep relaxation.
