Youth/ Teen WINTER PLAYBOOK 2022 | BELLINGHAM PARKS & RECREATION 4 DAY/DATE: Sunday, January 23 TIME: 1:00-4:00 pm AGES: 9-12 LOCATION: Bellingham Coding and Robotics Club (1304 12th Street) COST: $70 (includes building your own drone you can take home) COORDINATOR: Rosa Caldwell / Robin Smiley MIN: 5 / MAX: 8 Building & Flying Drones Do you love building robots and flying drones? We've combined the two for an afternoon of STEM fun! You'll build a remote control drone, then take and pass the FAA's Recreational UAS Safety Test for drones. After the test we will fly the drones around the club! At the end of the day you will take your drone home. Pack a snack and a water bottle. Photo by Robin Smiley Coding 101 Join us at the Bellingham Coding and Robotics Club to learn basic coding skills in Scratch and code your own online game all in 2 hours! Photo by Robin Smiley DAY/DATE: Sunday, March 13 TIME: 10:00 am-12:00 pm AGES: 7-9 LOCATION: Bellingham Coding and Robotics Club (1304 12th Street) COST: $20 per participant COORDINATOR: Rosa Caldwell / Robin Smiley MIN: 5 / MAX: 12 DAY/DATES: Session 1: Saturday, January 29 Session 2: Saturday, March 26 TIME: 3:00-4:00 pm, check in at 2:45 pm AGES: 7-16 LOCATION: Depot Market Square COST: $5 per session, bring one canned good to donate MIN: 10 / MAX: 30 DAY/DATES: Session 1: Saturday, January 29 Session 2: Saturday, March 26 TIME: 4:30-6:30 pm, check in at 4:15 pm AGES: 17+ LOCATION: Depot Market Square COST: $5 per session, bring one canned good to donate MIN: 10 / MAX: 30 Kid's Skate Pajama Jam Drop off your skaters so they can skateboard in their PJs! Adult supervision provided but no formal instruction. Beginners and skilled skaters welcome! Teens/Adult Skate Jam Come hang out and skate for 2 hours in a covered area while also supporting your local foodbank. No formal structure, just good times with good people. SKATE JAMS Skateboard in a covered area with Parks & Rec and Unknown Board Shop while collecting canned goods for the foodbank. We will provide mini ramps, a manual pad, and water bottles! Please note: Helmets (required for 16 and younger), elbow, & knee pads are recommended.
