Branch Out Bellingham is a new program high-
lighting our rich and diverse community of arts
and enrichment partners. These are the people
that make our community extra special and we
are showcasing their talents!
Bellingham Parks and Recreation is proud to
organize this program. We hope you will join
a session (or more!) to experience a taste of
Bellingham's finest entertainers and organizations!

Girls Bellinghistory Tours will lead
you on a virtual tour featuring
some of the fascinating history
of Bayview Cemetery including
filmed footage and historical
photographs. Founded in 1887
when the town of Whatcom
purchased a 10-acre plot along
the road to Lake Whatcom,
Bayview Cemetery is the only
remaining cemetery in Bellingham. You will learn how it
has grown and discover some of the history of its most
interesting monuments. Question and answer session
included!

the Fairhaven Historic Plaques

Tours returns to lead another
amazing virtual tour, this time
of the famous "Fairhaven
Markers." You may have seen
them placed around Harris
Avenue and beyond in
Bellingham's Historic Fairhaven District, with mysterious
messages such as "Dead Men Displayed Here, 1890."
You will dive deep into the stories
behind some of the markers with filmed
footage and historical photographs and
finally learn… the rest of the story!
