OH WHAT A YEAR IT HAS BEEN! Throughout 2020 Bellingham Parks staff worked diligently keeping parks and trails open and safe for the community to recreate, enjoy Mother Nature and venture outdoors with their families. Recreation staff created new programs, going virtual with amazing offerings and stay-at-home activities. And our Design and Development team saw years of hard work come to fruition with the opening of Cordata Park, the newest gem of the northside. Our entire staff embodied our Department's Six Principles of Community Values: Preservation, Connection, Play, Equity, Resiliency and Inclusivity. Hats off to everyone for providing such amazing services, amenities and opportunities to our community! Our Mission Statement Support a healthy community by promoting high quality parks and recreation services. Cordata Park: The newest of 38 community and neighborhood parks. Camp At Home Virtual Kits Dedicated staff maintain and keep over 3,186 acres safe and clean. The work never ends on our more than 80 miles of trails.
