Thank you to our 36 volunteers who turned out for our Community Work Party at Squalicum Creek Park! We fixed deer fences, planted native shrubs (and one Garry Oak), removed a LOT of blackberry hearts, and spread some beautiful mulch across the northwest corner of the hillside, all to improve wildlife habitat. We even got a short dose of sunshine. :) Our next work party is coming up next Saturday at East Meadow Park. We hope you can join us! www.cob.org/parkvolunteer #healthyparks, #volunteersmakeithappen, #salmonrecovery, #doseofsunshine, #parkscriptions
