18 summer 2015 leisure guide 360-778-7000 SUMMER CAMP TEEN VOLUNTEER TRAINING Gain volunteer experience this summer through programs put on by Bellingham Parks and Recreation! This training highlights the skills and responsibilities necessary when working with people of all ages in our community. We will explore effective leadership qualities, communication and play MANY of your favorite camp games. This program will run in conjunction with our Summer Camp staff training, so you'll also have a chance to meet the leaders for our 2015 camp programs. After the completion of this training, you will have the opportunity to volunteer for summer Parks and Recreation programs, including our summer camps, working with children ages 5-13, and/or being a part of special events such as the All Comers Track Meets, summer races, and KidsFest. A FUN way to gain skills for future employment, build your resume and have a positive impact on the Bellingham community! Registration also includes a 2015 Parks and Recreation t-shirt, available upon the first day of volunteer work. Camp Bloedel's super fun themes led by our creative and positive staff will result in a memorable summer that your 6-10 year old will always remember. Campers will stretch their imaginations, play silly games, learn new crafts, build friendships and make memories! Register for weekly sessions and bring a lunch, water bottle, swim suit and towel daily.
