Time to put on your lab coats and spend the week exploring and conducting hands-on experiments. Learn how science relates to our daily lives. It is a weird scientific world out there, so let's get busy investigating our own back yard! We will take field trips to Mindport and SPARK Museum. Bring a lunch, swim gear and water bottle daily. PROG# 29858 DAYS/DATES: Monday–Friday, July 6–10 AGES: 9–13 years TIME: 9am–3pm LOCATION: Bloedel Donovan Pavilion COST: $115 CAMP DIRECTOR: Nick James MIN: 10 MAX: 13 DO-IT-YOURSELF What can you do yourself? Just about anything! Spend the week with us learning how to make your own candy, rubber stamps, chocolate ice cream bowl, planter boxes, Kool-Aid dyed scarves, journals, refreshing healthy summer snacks, hula hoops and so much more. We will be using popular craft websites to help inspire unique, fun and creative DIY ideas. No idea is too wild or wacky for do-it-yourself crafts! Pack a lunch, swim gear and water bottle daily. PROG# 29859 AGES: 9–13 years DAYS/DATES: Monday–Friday, July 13–17 tIME: 9am–3pm LOCATION: Bloedel Donovan Pavilion COST: $125 CAMP DIRECTOR: Nick James MIN: 10 MAX: 13 SURVIVOR Capture the flag, obstacle courses, food eating competitions, water balloon fights, tribal crafts, initiative games, team building skills, swimming, positive cooperation and a whole lot more will keep your kids active, busy, thinking, laughing and making new friends this week. Your kids will be part of a group that has to work together to achieve common goals in this very popular camp loosely based around the reality show of the same name. Bring a lunch, swim gear and water bottle daily. Please note the wider age range for this camp. It's recommended that younger campers be comfortable in a positive, yet competitive, environment shared with older campers. PROG# 29860 AGES: 6–13 years DAYS/DATES: Monday–Friday, July 20–24 TIME: 9am–3pm LOCATION: Bloedel Donovan Multipurpose Room COST: $135 CAMP DIRECTOR: Nick James MIN: 16 MAX: 32 THEATER AND IMPROV COMEDY CAMP Join us for a week of improv theater and fun as we head on down to Bellingham's own Upfront Theatre to yuk it up during daily improv workshops taught by the Theatre's actors. In addition, we will write, cast, costume, and stage our own production. On Friday, your family is invited to see the show. All skills and comfort levels are welcome to this warm, inclusive and non-pressure environment. Now's your chance to hone in on your own hilarious, spontaneous self. Bring a sack lunch and water bottle daily. (Please note camp drop-off and pick-up locations). PROG# 29861 AGES: 10–14 years DAYS/DATES: Monday–Friday, July 27–31 TIME: 9am–3pm LOCATION: Upfront Theatre (drop-off); Bloedel Donovan Pavilion (pick-up) COST: $160 CAMP DIRECTOR: Nick James MIN: 10 MAX: 14 FUN WITH FOOD Food, cooking, recipes, and fun food presentations! Yum! This week we will be exploring everything edible. We will create and eat at least one dish a day, which will be added to your camper's growing recipe book. Summer is a wonderful time to experiment with fresh seasonal foods from right in our own backyard! But we won't stop there! We'll stretch the limits of food—creating art, sculpture and imaginative displays from ingredients you'd usually find in the supermarket. Bring a lunch, swim gear and water bottle daily.
