Last year over 3,000 people visited Bloedel Donovan Park and enjoyed over 40 free activities and games, entertainment and treats. As a participating agency or local business you can show your support of Whatcom County families and honor local children by getting involved. CHILDREN'S ART FESTIVAL Mark your calendar NOW for this wonderful event you won't want to miss! Our first ever Children's Art Festival promises to be filled with quality on-stage children's entertainment, approximately 25 hands-on booths of arts and crafts, face painting, balloons, and much more! From fish prints to foam crowns, noodle necklaces to nutty noisemakers there's something for everyone! And best of all… IT'S ALL FREE! Bring the whole family and enjoy an amazing day in beautiful Maritime Heritage Park. Food trucks will be on site for lunch options or bring a picnic to enjoy in the park. Activities include vendors, dog games, food, and education. Bring your best friend (on leash please) and have a great day of fun! BELLINGHAM PARKS & REC PHOTOGRAPHY CLASSES n TAKE BETTER PICTURES WITH YOUR DIGITAL DSLR CAMERA Taking pictures with your new DSLR is easy, just set it on auto and shoot away. Capturing GOOD pictures with your new DSLR… that's harder. Quality photography starts with understanding how to set your exposure manually. This is NOT difficult to do. In this 3 hour workshop we'll cover aperture and shutter speed and show you how to change them on your camera. Next we'll discuss how to use these settings to create the image you want. Bracketing the exposure is a very key part of this and will set you on the right path. We will also cover the use of polarizers and capturing images in the ELIZABETH PARK CONCERT SERIES Join us for this music series on Thursdays, from 6–8pm at Elizabeth Park, hosted by The Eldridge Historical Society.
