SPIN DANCES Bellingham Parks and Recreation, along with the Max Higbee Center and Whatcom County Parks have planned three dances for individuals with disabilities All persons age 14 and over are invited for live music, dancing and loads of fun! AGES: 14 years and older DAY/DATES: Mondays, March 16 ("St Patrick's Day" with The Devilly Brothers); April 20 ("Crazy Hat Night"); May 18 ("80's Night!") Music by Whatcom Sound TIME: 6-8 p.m. LOCATION: Bellingham Senior Center, 315 Halleck COST: A package of graham crackers at the door CAMP T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More): New location, new activity options, same outrageous fun! An outrageously fun experience for teens and adults with developmental disabilities, other community members, and WWU students Don't miss out on the lucky 13th annual overnight event at Camp TEAM! This will be an excellent time to meet new people and build ties between community members of Skagit and Whatcom counties Participants will have the chance to play games, do arts and crafts, play putt- putt golf, join in indoor and outdoor adapted sports, learn new dancing techniques, go on nature walks, sit around a bonfire, eat s'mores, build relationships, and boogie down to karaoke on Thursday night! Western Washington University Recreation Program students will be your energetic co-campers and counselors The cost of the overnight includes transportation to and from camp (from Bellingham and Mount Vernon locations), food, accommodations, and all activities This event will be held at Warm Beach Camp and Conference Center, located in Snohomish County, just south of Stanwood The new Camp TEAM location has ADA Accessible cabins, restrooms, dining hall and activity spaces If you require individual assistance, personal care assistants attend for free All participants are required to fill out a camper information sheet which is available at registration PLEASE NOTE: Registration AND information sheet must be completed and returned by April 17 — so PLEASE register early!
