Santa 5K
It's the most wonderful 5K of the
year! Jog or walk with us around
Cordata and Julianna Park. Stick
around afterwards for a costume
contest, hot cocoa, and a few
reindeer games. This family friendly
event is a fun way to celebrate the
spirit of the season. All participants
will receive a Santa hat.
Pre-registration required. Last
day to register is December 17.
Children's Holiday Market
Join us for a festive day of
holiday shopping as young
artisans and entrepreneurs
showcase homemade gifts
and goodies. This event
celebrates the creativity of
young minds and the joy of
generosity. From freshly baked cookies to hand-poured
candles, there's something for everyone on your holiday
list. All items are under $10, we recommend bringing small
bills and change.

AGES: All are welcome to shop; booths are available for
youth 14 and under

STAFF SPOTLIGHT
Mike McKenzie Park Facilities Specialist
Mike joined the Parks Facilities team in May 2026. He most recently worked in recreation
management at Washington's DNR and has worked for other local public agencies and
outdoor engagement non-profits in the region. Mike can usually be found outside enjoying
horticulture or adventuring on public lands and is a product and emphatic proponent of
AmeriCorps-funded service programs. He appreciates the opportunity to help steward and
maintain the beautiful parks, facilities, and open spaces that Bellingham provides for all.
