Family/Community SPRING/SUMMER PLAYBOOK 2024 | BELLINGHAM PARKS & RECREATION 18 Model Sailboat Workshop We've teamed up with Tippecanoe Boats to offer an exciting opportunity to learn the basics of sailing, master the art of piloting a radio-controlled sailboat, and navigate an established course around buoys. Participants will receive hands-on instruction covering essential skills and racing rules, and take the helm to compete in a mini regatta! We've got you covered with boats and radio controllers provided for all. Pre-registration is a must, so secure your spot today for this unforgettable two-day adventure on the water! DAY/DATES: Saturday, May 4 & 18 TIME: 1:00–3:00 pm AGES: 9 years and older, accompanied by an adult LOCATION: Lake Padden West Entrance. Meet in front of the bath house. COST: $12 per person, $25 family (up to 4 members) COORDINATOR: Billy Reeves/Will Lesh MIN: 3 / MAX: 20 Bellingham Kids' Fishing Derby It's back! Youth ages 5-14 may collect a free ticket to join this long- running fishing contest (limit 2 fish per child) and opportunities to win and learn about local fish and habitats. Parking is limited. Additional parking is available at Bloedel Donovan Park. Explore this beautiful garden with its meandering paths and wonderful sculptures while enjoying light refreshments. Other activities include live music and a children's passport adventure.
