This program is
for individuals with
special needs, 3 years
or older, to get in the
water and work
one-on-one with a volunteer to increase swim skills,
flexibility, exercise and have fun!
Days: T, W, or Th
Time: 1:30-2:30 pm
Cost: $36.00/session
Session 1: January 17-February 7;
January 18-February 8; January 19-February 9.
Session 2: February 14-March 7;
February 15-March 8; February 16-March 9.
Registration begins January 10th at 8:00 am
ARNE HANNA AQUATIC CENTER
Water Safety Instructor Course
This course trains the instructor candidates to teach
all of the courses presented in the Swimming and Water
Safety program. Courses include Parent and Child
Aquatics, Preschool Aquatics, and Levels 1-6 of the
Aquatics Learn-to-Swim program.
Prerequisites: 16 years of age or older. Complete
swimming pretest to Learn-to-Swim Level 4 ability.
Cost: $200 AHAC course fee + $35 Red Cross fee
Dates and Times: T-Th, March 21-23
Times: 8:00 am–5:30 pm
Registration deadline: March 10
Lifeguard Training Course
Learn how to effectively prevent and respond to
water emergencies. The certification includes First
Aid, CPR, AED, Administering Emergency Oxygen,
and Bloodborne Pathogens training. Training is valid
for two years and accepted nationwide.
Prerequisites: 15 years or older and complete
a swimming pretest at Arne Hanna
Cost: $200
Dates: Sundays, February 26, March 5, 12
Times: 8:00 am–5:30 pm
Registration deadline: February 16
