Bellingham Parks and Recreation and the Max Higbee Center will host an Ice Cream Social at Depot Market Square for individuals with disabilities. Everyone 14 and older is invited to dance with us to music provided by Glitt3r Lyfe's Aireekah! DAY/DATE: Monday, August 15 TIME: 6:00-8:00 pm AGES: 14 and older LOCATION: Depot Market Square COST: Free! (must pre-register) COORDINATOR: Rosa Caldwell/Max Higbee Center MAX: 50 (includes personal care assistants) DAY/DATES: Mondays: May 16, June 20, July 18 TIME: 6:00-8:00 pm AGES: 14 and older LOCATION: Online. Please register for each session to receive your Zoom link and password COST: FREE (must pre-register) COORDINATOR: Rosa Caldwell/Max Higbee Center MAX: 90 each date SPIN Dance at Home Dance with us every third Monday of the month! Bellingham Parks and Recreation and the Max Higbee Center will host SPIN Dances at Home for individuals with disabilities. Everyone 14 and older is invited to dance with us to music provided by Glitt3r Lyfe's Aireekah! CAMP T.E.A.M. An outrageously fun experience for teens and adults with developmental disabilities is back! Don't miss this brand-new hybrid Camp TEAM experience, featuring both in-person and virtual activities each day. Campers will play games, do arts and crafts, and explore outdoor adaptive sports. Camp TEAM will end with a virtual music and karaoke campfire on Friday afternoon! WWU Recreation Program students will be energetic co-campers. Camp cost includes activity supply kits and adaptive kayaking and cycling activities. Participants who require individual assistance during the in-person portions of camp, may have personal care assistants attend for free. After registering, campers will receive a link to this year's Camp TEAM packet. All participants are required to complete a Participant Information form online which is included in the packet. Please note: Participant form must be submitted by April 25! Registration open Monday, April 11 to Friday, April 22. Program is not eligible for a refund. Participants will be invited to sign up for specific activities May 2-6. Adaptive cycling and adaptive kayaking participants will need to submit proof of vaccination with the Participant Info form. May 12 & 13 participants will pick up activity supply kits at Bloedel Donovan Park between 3:00-5:00 pm. Camp TEAM is sponsored by Western Washington University and Bellingham Parks and Recreation.
