Youth/ Teen WINTER PLAYBOOK 2022 | BELLINGHAM PARKS & RECREATION 8 MONEYWISE: Teen Financial Literacy Program Using the Moneywise Financial Literacy Program created by Andrew Crowell, Vice Chairman of Wealth Management at D.A. Davidson, teens will learn about various things including banking, budgeting, paychecks, purchasing a car, savings, investing and the cost of college. Moneywise alumni reported back that the interactive class was a fun way to learn about money and that the class empowered them to take control of their financial future. Instructor Christine Gary has lived in Bellingham for over 25 years and has worked at D.A. Davidson since 2012. In her current position she works closely with financial advisors on their use of software and enjoys teaching people new things. DAY/DATES: Mondays: February 28, March 7, 14, 21 TIME: 4:30-5:30 pm AGES: 13-18 LOCATION: Bloedel Donovan Pavilion COST: FREE COORDINATOR: Lance Romo / Christine Gary MIN: 5 / MAX: 15 DAY: Saturdays AGES: 9-12 SESSIONS/DATES: Session 1: January 8 & 15 Session 2: March 12 & 19 TIME: 10:00 am-12:00 pm AGES: 13-16 SESSIONS/DATES: Session 1: January 8 & 15 Session 2: March 12 & 19 TIME: 1:00-3:00 pm LOCATION: Maritime Heritage Park Pavilion COST: $20 per session COORDINATOR: Rosa Caldwell / Juliet Kaluzniacki MIN: 5 / MAX: 10 per session Cloud 9 Yoga & Mindfulness Bring a blanket and yoga mat to the Maritime Heritage Park pavilion for two-day yoga workshop sessions that include yoga, art, journaling, and deep relaxation. Sessions are hosted in partnership with Cloud 9's Juliet Kaluzniacki.
