Bellingham Public Library now offers passes to check out for both the Whatcom Museum and the Spark Museum of Electrical Invention. The passes are available electronically on the Library's website: BellinghamPublicLibrary.org/ using-the-library/free-passes-to-museums. Each Museum Pass allows free entry for up to 4 people, valid for use on the date selected when registering. Each family is eligible for a pass for each museum every 60 days. Follow the directions on the webpage to check out a pass and enjoy all our local museums have to offer! ALL IN for Climate Action Week ALL IN for Climate Action Week, Sept. 20-26, 2021 is a celebration of the knowledge, progress, and resources our community has to offer when looking for solutions to address global climate change at the local level. Join Bellingham Public Library by choosing a title from our curated Climate Action materials list in a variety of formats. Bellingham Children's Library will participate with Climate Action-themed Storytimes for kids ages birth to 5 years, and an interactive mural to encourage kids ages 6 to 12 to learn more, and submit their own Climate Action ideas to receive a treasure. Read the Book… Join the Conversation Temporary Fall Hours Beginning September 7, the Library will rebalance its hours. Thank you for your patience. We look forward to expanding hours of service as we hire and train additional staff. Hours at the Central branch will be: Monday and Tuesday, 10 am – 6 pm Wednesday thru Saturday, 10 am – 3 pm Curbside by appointment, Saturday 4 – 6pm Hours at the Fairhaven and Barkley branches will remain: Monday and Tuesday, 10 am – 2 pm Wednesday thru Friday, 2 pm – 6 pm Saturday, 10 am – 2 pm Bellingham Reads Looking for an opportunity to discuss thought- provoking literary materials? The public is invited to participate in Bellingham Reads. This open book discussion group is facilitated by a Bellingham Public Library staff member, who guides a virtual meeting at 6:30 p.m. on the 4th Tuesday of every month. All are welcome.
