How to Capture Awesome Images
with your DSLR, Beginners – Level 1
Taking pictures with your DSLR is easy, just set it on auto
and shoot away. Capturing GOOD pictures with your
DSLR… that's harder! Join renowned NW photographer
Andy Porter as he explains aperture and shutter speed
then shows you how to adjust them on your camera.
He'll also cover bracketing the exposure, the use of
polarizers and capturing images in the RAW format.
A DSLR camera is required for this class.

It's the New Year and time for new projects! Each month
has a different seasonal theme and each kit contains
supplies, instructions and lots of inspiration for families
to create fun crafts together as well as other interactive
ideas.
Three themes to choose from: February: Love is in the
air; March: March into fun; April: Spring has sprung.
Please note: Some simple household items may be
required to complete all projects. Deadline to register:
Monday prior to each pickup day.

Introduction to Photoshop
Andy Porter was drawn into learning Photoshop
reluctantly, but as a Nature – Landscape – Night Sky
Photographer editing and prepping images for printing
is now an integral part of what he does. In this series of
classes you will learn how to enhance your images using
Camera Raw. There will be creative lessons about layers
and for some lessons you will need to both capture
images, and edit them. Students must have a current
subscription to Photoshop, newest version/subscrip-
tion, AND SOME familiarity with Photoshop. (In other
words, please don't download Photoshop for the first
time and expect to be able to follow along!) The series of
5 classes can be purchased separately for $50 a class, or
as a package of all 5 classes for $200.
