Each class builds steadily and intelligently toward a peak pose or peak sequence, with opportuni es for individuals to modify or amplify the prac ce to suit their needs. Breath awareness, dynamic movement, and longer holds in restora ve poses will be integrated into each class. Expect to develop strength, increase flexibility and prac ce balance while se ling your mind and calming your nervous system. Each 6-week series is led by cer fied yoga instructor Kendall Tetsworth whose teaching is influenced by Dharma, Bhak , Yin and Hatha Yoga tradi ons. Spring is almost here! It's me to get your dose of nature with a lovely walk every Wednesday morning. Bellingham Parks and Recrea on and Recrea on Northwest are partnering with doctors and other health care providers to prescribe me outside. "Parkscrip ons" connects individuals with posi ve outdoor experiences resul ng in healthier lifestyles and improved mental and physical health. Meet new friends, learn new trails, stay fit and have fun! Each week we will meet at a designated park loca on and explore a nearby trail, Greenways path or Bellingham park. Walks will gradually get longer (maximum 3 miles) and possibly gain a small amount of eleva on by program's end. Bring your walking shoes, water bo le and walking s cks (op onal) and fill your weekly "Parkscrip on"! Also, the skull shirts are cool.
