Bellingham Parks and Recrea on and Recrea on Northwest (www.recrea onnorthwest.org/parkscrip ons) are partnering with doctors and other health care providers to prescribe me outdoors. "Parkscrip ons" connects pa ents with posi ve outdoor experiences for healthier lifestyles and improved mental and physical health. You don't need to have a Parkscrip on to par cipate in this series of guided walks. You will get to know your local parks, and make some new friends in the process with this series of "Parkscrip on Cer ied"accessible guided walks. All of these paths are accessible to all ages; no stairs and no steep hills and range from 0.8 to 2.7 miles. Bring your walking shoes and morning coffee, and let's start our Saturdays together at the park! To register please visit cob.org/ezreg. The rela onship and understanding the handler and dog develop through basic obedience training not only helps to create an excellent family companion, but is also the founda on for all other dog sports. Dog/handler teams should be able to stand quietly with minimal barking and no lunging or aggressive behavior.
